We all know that in today’s technology and web driven times, creativity is key. I just wanted to share a video I saw yesterday that a high school senior created to help him get into college.

Lawrence Yong had applied to the University of Michigan last month and was added to the waitlist because of the excessive number of applicants. The fact that only 43 of the 14,600 students waitlisted last year were selected for admission motivated Yong to go above and beyond to get his name in the mix for the upcoming fall semester.

After rewriting a popular Jackson 5 song, Lawrence took a leap of faith and uploaded his video on YouTube.

His creativity worked in his favor and he received an admission letter on June 6. Congrats!
