Inmate On The Run :: James Hopkins Escapes From Hinds Detention Center In Raymond

State inmate James M. Hopkins, 34, escaped from the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond and was discovered missing at approximately 10 p.m. on Monday, June 4. / MDOC (The Clarion Ledger)

James M. Hopkins, 34, escaped from the Hinds County Detention Center on Monday in his second escape. Rankin County District Attorney Michael Guest reported that Hopkins’ previous crimes were not violent, but he should be treated with caution.

Hopkins is a white male with blue eyes, brown hair and weighs approximately 165 pounds. If have seen this man, contact the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office at (601) 974-2900, local law enforcement or the Mississippi Department of Corrections at (662) 745-6611. [Clarion Ledger]

In fairy tales you get the feeling that love is everlasting and eternal…you know, “happily ever after.” Unfortunately that is not always the case in real life. A picture posted on Instagram this morning made me think about matching tattoos and why we feel the need to get them, how many of us actually have them and whether or not there is any regret after the relationship fails or just in general.

My mom is probably going to side-eye me just because I know she reads this site and I know how she is, but I actually have a matching tattoo. It’s really small and simple and I don’t think that it’s what you would call a bad one. It holds a double meaning. Should things between me and that person ever go south (there is always that potential) I can live with it. Mostly because regardless of the status of our relationship, we still share a bond that can never be taken away - friendship and unconditional love.

Can We PLEASE Stop Pretending Like We Know What Goes On Behind Closed Doors?

As some of you probably know, I am an avid blog reader. I have my daily sites that I visit like The Jasmind Brand, This Is Your Conscience and Clutch, then I have some I visit every now and then.

I pay attention to the comment sections sometimes more than the story or article itself because I enjoy reading what other readers think and I’ll chime in when I feel compelled to. But I’ve been noticing something, particularly when there is a story about relationships - some of the females who comment (sorry ladies, this one is on us) tend to have this attitude that they know what a person (in most cases a man) does every waking moment of his day.
