I got an opportunity to catch the premiere episode of Empire Girls starring Julissa Bermudez and Adrienne Bailon. When I first heard about the show, I didn’t have any interest in seeing it. I mean, two Latina chicks living in NYC looking for love…how can a 20-something Black woman in Mississippi relate?

I caught the episode by accident while visiting a friend and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Adrienne and Julissa both are quite feisty and in-your-face. I loved it!

Julissa shared her struggle to land new hosting gigs because of her strong Spanish accent (I can relate b/c I have a heavy southern accent) and Adrienne shared her frustration with always being linked back to Rob Kardashian. Oh, and she also let the cameras show her getting his name removed from her ass.

The show will run every Sunday on the Style Network at 9/8c. Give it a try!
