Talk about interesting! In an interview with the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Momma Dee tells us how she got into the pimp game while recovering from a car accident in the hospital.
After receiving a nursing degree, Momma Dee was involved in a head-on collision with a 16-year-old drunk driver that left her bedridden and unable to walk for three years. She says that while in the hospital for three years, no one in her family helped her or gave her any help with her children.
She says that she couldn’t work because every five years she had to get a new hip and after having each hip surgery, she would be out for another four or five months practicing how to walk again.
Momma Dee does admit that entering the pimp game was by choice, not force.
“I had to get on food stamps and welfare, you know. So there was no one to get school clothes and put toys under the tree. Who was going to do that? And I’m not a beggar. So I got it myself. And it wasn’t by force — it was by choice.”
How she became a pimp from her hospital bed:
“Because I can control certain things that come from my mouth. See, anytime you get inside the head, the tail gonna follow. I owned a brothel. I had a place for them.”
She adopted the nickname “Lady Dee” and operated her brothel for 10 years.

Ha!!! I have some questions. Who was she pimping; nurses, doctors, housekeeping, etc.? And how do you let someone get in your mind to convince you to get out there and trick, while they are on their sick bed? I know you can’t answer these questions, but I’m just wondering.
