YouTube Cracks Down On Fake Views


The folks over at YouTube are cracking down on record labels and other companies who use fake views of their videos as a way to increase popularity and drive advertising revenue.

The video sharing site cut around 2 billion fake views from record company sites during an audit. Universal Music Group and Sony were among the companies who lost views in the million and billion range. Artists like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce and Justin Bieber were all affected.
