You Don’t Choose Your Passion, Your Passion Chooses You

What’s life or business without a little passion?

Passion is defined as an intense, driving, or overmastering feeling of conviction or as a strong liking or desire for or to some activity, object or concept. Take a moment to think about everything that you’re passionate about in life while I do the same.

Ok, let’s see…

I love words.

I also love expressing myself through words, especially on paper.

I love connecting with other people and spreading positive vibes and

I really love inspiring people, starting conversation and provoking thought.

… I think you get the point.

Basically, everything that I love and have a passion for can be directed back to this website. I tell the story of how my site got started all the time and one thing I try to always make known is that initially, I didn’t have a plan to own an entertainment website and do some of the things that I do now. It sort of just happened that way. Almost as if blogging chose me, not the other way around.

What in your life do you have a strong desire for or to do?

Is it teaching others? Inventing things to make life easy? Serving your community? Consider that maybe this passion wasn’t something you developed, but instead something that was built into you. Look at it as something that makes you who you are and without it, you wouldn’t be happy. (I think our passions are related to our purpose but that’s another post for another day.)

As I’ve embraced my passions and starting putting my energy into them, I’ve met so many people that share that same energy and have actually helped me be able to live my passion even more. I challenge you to really think about what your passions are and try to use them as much as you can.
