A Dayton, Ohio is apologizing for their Black History Month menu items that offended students on campus.
Wright State University’s cafeteria menu featured fried chicken, collard greens and cornbread as a combo deal along with a photo of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. University president, David Hopkins, issued an apology saying:
“I apologize to anyone hurt by the display. To our credit, the menu was quickly removed. But the larger question remains: Why was it done? I will find out. We will take steps to prevent this kind of behavior occurring in the future.”
Comments on the issue have been varied with some being offended by the menu choices while others don’t see the big deal. What are your thoughts?
