World’s First Gay Bible? “Queen James” Bible Causes Controversy With New Interpretations Of Same-Sex Verses

I’m just as shocked as you are.

A new book claiming to be the world’s first gay Bible is now available on Amazon and it has caused a firestorm of mixed reactions among people of all religions, not just Christianity. The editors of the ‘Queen James Bible’ say that their version is a “re-write of the traditional King James Version of the Bible that prevents homophobic misinterpretation of God’s Word.”

The book is available online, but does not list a specific publisher, editor or translator. It simply has ‘God’ listed as the author and ‘Jesus Christ’ as the publisher. The publication of the book was timed to coincide with the debate over same-sex marriage.

I have to be honest here. I’m a tad bit offended. Not because I have something against homosexuals (because I don’t) but because I feel like this is mocking the Christian faith. I would be just as offended if this was a reinterpretation of the Koran.

The book’s official website has the tagline:

“You can’t choose your bad worduality, but you can choose Jesus. Now you can choose a Bible, too.”
