Living in your purpose is one of most fulfilling experiences in life.
I believe if your heart is not in it, you are in the wrong job. If your heart is not in the relationship you’re in, you are with the wrong person. Sounds simple, but as humans we strive for things beyond our means and beyond our necessity just to say or show that we have this or that. And most of the time we compromise our purpose in life to attain these things.
I’m inspired by this guy I know. He’s a normal guy from a small town, a college graduate who is outspoken and mysterious at the same time. He lives pretty frugal and simple. He’s passionate about pursuing a career in Hollywood and since I’ve known him his desire to make his dreams come true have driven his decision making in life. If you looked at where he is in life with a normal eye you would probably say “he should give up the pipe dreams and get a real job, and just forget about it.” I admire him because of his decision to choose his passion over fear, circumstances, negativity, probability, criticism, or naysayers. I admire him for his understanding and acceptance of his purpose and his willingness to put everything he has in it to get there.
I believe that the bigger your sacrifice, the greater your reward.
People who follow their passion and purpose are oblivious to the sacrifices they make to reach their goal because they have visualized the reward. (Read Jessica’s post about passion here.)
You may be trying to figure out what your purpose in life is and the best way is to know who you are and what’s in your heart. If its making people happy, you probably don’t want to spend the rest of your life being a bill collector. It’s important to align yourself and your surroundings with what’s in your heart.
This is dedicated to those that are misunderstood for going after their passion and purpose in life.
Keep pressing and go for it!
