Whit Wisdom: How To Be Drama Free

no-more-dramaI always try to be accountable and take responsibility for my actions in situations – it really helps to minimize the drama. In turn, I try to encourage others to evaluate themselves and their responsibilities and actions in any situation as well. Being drama free is possible, but it begins with you.

I’ve put together a list of three ways you can become drama free:

1. We as humans attract what is in our lives by the energy we give. If you are giving negative, messy energy then that’s what you will receive. You reap what you sow therefore, become aware of the type of energy you are giving off.

2. There is a biblical verse that I love – 1 Corinthians 13:11 (New Living Translation): “When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But as and when I grew up, I put away childish things.”

Maturity and growth come when you put way childish behavior and influences. Details like who you associate with or how you respond to people in different situations are great examples of where your maturity level is. It’s never too late to grow up! Growing up doesn’t mean you become boring. It means you have more beneficial priorities. Being with your messy friends may have been fun but where did it get you in life? What did you gain?

3. Be kindhearted and forgiving! You will be pleasantly surprised at the peace of mind and the joy you have when you develop a kindhearted and forgiving spirit. Kindheartedness opens you up to positiveness and in return you will attract positiveness. Having a forgiving spirit rules out bitterness. Most people who are drama filled and mean-hearted hold a lot of anger from being hurt and unforgiving. You put in a lot of work when you hold a grudge! Let go so you can be free!!

I’m a music lover if you hadn’t noticed. I’m reminded of Mary J. Blidge’s song “No More Drama”:

“It feels so good
When you let go
Of all the drama in your life
Now you’re free from all the pain
Free from all the game
Free from all the stress
So find your happiness
I don’t know
Only God knows where the story ends for me
But I know where the story begins
It’s up to us to choose
Whether we win or loose
And I choose to win”

Keep pressing and start your journey of having no more drama in your life!
