A rapper from Virginia may have just ruined any chances of him making it big after his lyrics helped build a case against him for murder.
Newport News, VA rapper Antwain Donta Steward, also known as Twain Gotti, was arrested and charged in a pair of cold case murders that occurred in 2007. The new lead in the murder case came from Steward’s own rap lyrics.
The song that sparked the interest of police is his 2011 song “Hip Full of Gun” which describes him killing someone. In a document obtained by the Daily Press, the lyrics from the track read:
“Everybody saw as and when I [expletive] choked him. But nobody saw when I [expletive] smoked him, roped him, sharpened up the shank then I poked him … had me crackin up so I joked him, it is betweezy six feet ova, told ya [expletive] with my money I’ll roast ya.”
Steward is being held without bond in the Newport News City Jail. His court date is set for October 2.
