Wow! 2013 starts tomorrow, can you believe it? I am so excited about everything to come in this new year, especially with this site and in my life.
I wanted to share with you all some very important lessons I learned this year and how I plan to become a better person in 2013. I know some people are against making New Year’s Resolutions, but I am all for it! Before you get anywhere, you have to first know where you want to go and sitting down examining your life and what you’d like to change about it is a great first step.
A few of my resolutions include:
- Have patience: I tend to try and rush everything (life, success, relationships, results, etc) and I’ve learned that everything happens at the right time. If there is something in life you want and it hasn’t happened yet, it simply means that it isn’t time. Hard to understand, but it will so worth it as and when you finally experience it!
- Make better decisions: I’ve realized that everything going on in my life – good and bad – is the result of a choice I made. If I practice having patience and think everything through I am confident I’ll make much better decisions.
- Keep my private life, private: Sometimes I tweet things that really have no point in being tweeted. I may have been trying to get someone’s attention or show that I’m doing something such as going on a date, I met someone new, bought new clothes…whatever it is! As a blogger and someone who is being watched, I want to make sure I put the best image out there. And really, I’m too old to be on Twitter for any other reason that a business reason anyway. *shrugs*
- Become a better person: All in all, I want to become a better person. I want to be healthier, more kind, more charitable, all that good stuff.
I have learned so much about myself this year and how strong I really am. I feel ready to take on the world! Have a wonderful, blessed New Year and I will see you all in 2013!
