It’s always nice to see a celebrity doing good deeds for those in need. Tyler Perry is the latest celeb to lend a helping hand after assisting an Atlanta family facing eviction.
Xerna Nieves, an unemployed single-parent of four was on the receiving end of a major blessing. One of her children suffers from plastic anemia and was given the opportunity to meet Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose by the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Upon their return to Atlanta, Nieves was greeted with an eviction notice.
Nieves said the apartment complex was usually flexible with her as and when it came to paying rent, but after she became two months late, she was told that the corporate office would not be accepting anymore payments from her. Nieves was prepared to go to a homeless shelter when Perry caught wind of her story and stepped in.
He offered to pay one year’s worth of rent.
The eviction was scheduled for Tuesday morning and sources have not reported whether or not his help came in time.
