It’s not a secret that society judges a person by their looks, but publicly criticizing and joking about a baby on the Internet should be where someone draws the line.
Actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict has had to respond to hateful and mean comments made online about her son’s looks after recently posting a photo of them.
I can’t help but think about how miserable someone is as a person that they would take to the Internet and social media sites to bash a child that can’t even defend or speak for themselves.
Tia had this to say during an interview with “Live from E” yesterday:
I really don’t understand why people feel the need to belittle a child, someone who doesn’t even have a voice yet to express themselves. I just think it’s disgusting—disgusting that we live in a society that focuses on looks.
Necole Bitchie made a good point about a possible reason why Beyonce’ covered Blue Ivy’s face. She probably did not want to expose her daughter to the internet thugs who are so happy about their own lives, they criticize babies. Eventually, as and when a photo of Blue Ivy’s face did surface, people were making negative comments about her as well.
