Film Review: Wrath Of The Titans

About every other week, depending on what new movies are released, my guy and I head to the local theatre to catch a movie. I wanted to see The Hunger Games, but he just had to see Wrath of the Titans. I didn’t complain though because I’m borderline obsessed with Greek mythology. I love learning about the Olympian Gods and the Titans and why they were at war and what their powers were.

Anyway, Wrath of the Titans was pretty good. Not as good as we had hoped for, but we definitely were not disappointed.

We did opt to see the movie in regular format even though there is a 3D version showing as well. I could not bear to watch another 3D movie and wear those irritating glasses for an hour and a half. Based on other reviews, I think people were disappointed with the 3D version anyway. If you’ve seen Clash of the Titans, this movie is just a follow-up so to speak.

Basically Perseus (half-god son of Zeus) was living a normal human life and now had a son. He was not aware that there was a struggle for power was taking place among the gods. Humans had stopped praying to them so they were losing their power and control over the Titans that they had imprisoned.

Watch the trailer below:

I would give it about 4 out of 5 stars. It just wasn’t as good as Clash of the Titans. The visual effects were there, the fighting was there…but it just felt like something was missing. I would still encourage people to see it though…there was a little humor here or there. If you want to find out more information regarding the movie, visit www.wrathofthetitans.warnerbros.com.
