A recent story on The Village Voice brought the past sexual assault allegations made against R. Kelly back into the limelight and Kelly stopped by Atlanta’s V-103 station to discuss his new album, Black Panties, and of course he was asked about the story.
When asked about the story, Kelly had this to say:
“Well I feel like I got the football man, I’m running towards the touchdown and stopping and looking back, mess around, I’ll get tackled.”
“When you get on top of anything, it’s very windy. It’s about holding your balance once you get up there…You have to spiritually be a climber.”
Kelly basically brushed off the story in an attempt to keep the focus on his music.
The story, which has caught the attention of many, discusses the sexual relationships Kelly had with underage women that led him to be named in hundreds of lawsuits that fell under the radar. To read the story, click here.
