I received a complimentary bag of Harvest Snaps Green Pea Crisps as part of the Influenster #FlawlessVoxBox to review on my blog. All opinions are 100% my own.
As much as I hate to say this because the company so graciously sent out their products, I have to be 100% honest for you, my extremely valued reader.
Harvest Snaps are a source of plant protein and fiber with less fat and sodium than traditional chips. They retail between $1.79-$2.29, depending on where you shop, and come in three varieties: Snapea Crisps, Lentil Bean and Black Bean. Among those three varieties, they come in a variety of flavors such as Black Pepper, Wasabi Ranch, Tomato Basil and Onion Thyme.
I received the Green Pea Crisps in the Lightly Salted flavor to try.
I have to be completely honest – I didn’t like them a lot. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest rating, I would have to give these a 5. They weren’t terrible but they weren’t great either. They were somewhere in the middle.
They smelled like peas and they tasted like bland, flavorless peas. The light salt on them was what actually saved them for me. Had it not been for that, I probably wouldn’t have been able to eat them.
As their website says, it’s whats on the inside that counts and these crisps are a great alternative to regular chips. I agree with that! I think I’d like them more had I been able to try a variety with a little more flavor and kick to them.
Don’t let me deter you from trying these snacks though! For more information, you can visit the Harvest Snaps website by clicking here and you can check out other reviews and product photos on their Facebook page here.
