Product Review: Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara

I’m totally obsessed with makeup and beauty products and like many women, I’m constantly searching for the right products to enhance my beauty.

One of my favorite features is definitely my eyes. I love their shape and how I can make them look different by simply switching up the way I apply my eyeliner. Whenever I want to make my eyes pop, I pay special attention to my eyelashes.

For the most part, I use Maybelline mascaras because they seem to give me the results I want but every now and then, I get the urge to have longer, thicker lashes.  I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve worn false eyelashes. I can never seem to put them on correctly on both eyes. One eye will be perfect and the other will look a little funky, so I gave up trying….but I still wanted the look!

Luckily, there is a product out there that solved my problem.

Younique’s Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes mascara is the bomb dot com! My friend Takia was kind enough to send me the product to try and since we like to keep it 100 on our site, my review will be fair and honest. Check it out below!

When I opened my package, I was very impressed. Instead of there being loose tubes of product in an envelope, there was a nice black textured case with the company’s logo on it. It put me in the mind of a case that you’d keep your glasses in. Nicely tucked inside were the tubes of product. I was expecting there just to be one tube but there were actually two. There was also a small flyer (not shown in my photos) with instructions on how to use the mascara.

As you can see there are two tubes inside the package: Moodstruck Transplanting Gel and Moodstruck Natural Fibers. Here’s how it works.

First, you must apply your everyday mascara with as many coats as you want. I only applied one. I used Maybelline’s Colossal Cat Eye mascara.

Then after your regular mascara has dried, you must apply one coat of the transplanting gel. The gel is dark like mascara. Before the transplanting gel dries, you have to apply the fibers. (Note: I did this step one eye at a time to make sure the gel didn’t dry.) The fibers are like little hairs and will stick to your eyelashes, giving them that thick, long look.

– No mess (I loved not having to use glue!)
– Easy-to-follow instructions
– You don’t lose eyelashes in the process
– Looks very natural
– Even application so both eyes look the same (not easy to achieve for the average person applying false lashes)

– More expensive than common drugstore mascara brands
– Takes practice to get the look you want at first (this was my third attempt using the product)
– Semi-clumpy finish

I would definitely recommend this product to others, I’m in love with it! Although it’s a little expensive it’s worth it. I figure the money you’d spend replacing mascara and buying false eyelashes and eye lash glue, the price balances out. To purchase this product, contact @takiawraps or @picture_gal on Instagram.
