According to authorities, one of the two suspects in the Boston Marathon Bombing is dead and a manhunt is underway for the other.
Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis believes that the remaining suspect is a terrorist. In a statement made earlier, he said:
“We believe this to be a terrorist. We believe this to be a man who’s come here to kill people. We need to get him in custody.”
According to the Middlesex District Attorney, the two men are suspected of killing a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer on campus late Thursday, stealing a car at gunpoint and later releasing the driver unharmed. Just hours before, police had released photos of the marathon bombing suspects and asked the public to help find them.
Residents of Watertown, a Boston suburb, are being told by police to stay indoors, keep their doors locked and not to let anyone inside.
