After St. Louis Prosecutor Robert McCulloch said that no details about the shooting of Mike Brown would be released any time soon, the fifth consecutive night of protests in Ferguson began.

Protesters gathered on West Florissant Avenue in a permitted march chanting, “Hands up! Don’t shoot!” as they walked. CNN reports that officers clad in riot gear marched toward the demonstrators near a burned out gas station and announced that they no longer considered Images and videos shared on social networks such as Twitter and Vine captured the intense moments of the protests, even as police fired tear gas.

According to Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, protesters were asked to only rally during daylight hours to ensure community safety. Michael Brown Sr., the father of the slain teen, has asked that everyone come together and do things the “right way” without any violence.

Our prayers are with the entire town of Ferguson.
