Raise your hand if Fall is your favorite season! *raises hand*
I absolutely love Fall. Here in Mississippi, it’s the most mild season in terms of weather and it always gets me in the mood for my birthday. Not only that, what isn’t to love about leaves falling around you creating beautiful scenery, hot lattes and cappuccinos, the state fair, candles scented with spice. Ah! I’m so excited!
Since becoming a mother, my entire perspective on life has changed. I used to base my happiness on things like how much money I have, my physical appearance and other things that are always changing. Having a child helped me to realize that happiness is in those things that will forever remain – either tangibly or in your heart.
This revelation made me want to create even more memories and live in the present as much as I possibly can.
I work a lot. Like a lot, a lot. If I’m honest, I’m on my laptop about 70% of my day. As a result, I’m missing quality time with my family and friends and it really makes me hate that America is such a capitalist society. On one hand, it’s good for people like me who are entrepreneurs. The ugly side of it is that in many cases, you have to work tirelessly to achieve enough wealth and money to make ends meet (and have a little fun on the side).
The only way it can work for me is that I have some type of balance. By the end of the year I hope to have developed and be practicing a strategy that allows me to achieve maximum productivity with a schedule that makes room for my personal life outside of blogging and running a business.
I’ve decided to create a bucket list. Bucket lists are great ways to keep you on your toes and make sure you’re living life and not just working all the time. Life is about memories. Whenever you’re going through rough times memories can always allow you to escape, even if for just a moment. I want to create more memories to build on the ones I already have and what better way than with a bucket list!
Below is my 2017 Fall Bucket List. I love this season because it’s so romantic and gives me cuddly and fuzzy feelings. Now that I have my own family it’s even more important that I give them the same feelings that I have through our own memories.
I’ll be coming back to update with a link to each item, so be sure to check back and click each completion date to see how everything turned out. I’ll try my best to write a blog post or at the least, share a photo on Instagram for each item. (And if you’re wondering, no I did not complete my couple’s bucket list for the summer. LOL! Don’t judge me!)
