TV One has confirmed that it will be taking its hit show “R&B Divas” to LA.
The show will follow the lives and careers of five new ladies: Kelly Price, Chante’ Moore, Lil Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Dawn Richard and Michel’le. Production for the show will begin this month in Los Angeles.
Kelly Price is currently working on her music with her manager/husband and balancing being a mother of three. Chante’ Moore is recently divorced from Kenny Lattimore and is anticipating the release of her new album this year. Lil Mo is preparing for a comeback – didn’t you love her singing the hooks to all the hip-hop hits back in the early 2000s? I’m wondering what her comeback will be like. You may remember Claudette Ortiz from the group City High…her life and career has been pretty up and down, so I know she’ll be interesting to watch. Dawn Robinson is formally of En Vouge and in my opinion she should be the biggest star on this show but sadly, I think she needs to just give it up. The cameras will follow her as she tries to form a new group and Michel’le – whoever she is – is working on a memoir and also getting back into music.
I didn’t think the first series would be a hit, but it turned out to be great for TV One’s ratings, so we’ll see what this one does.
