This post is brought to you by Little Spoon. Their mission is to make fresh, nutritious and all organic baby food, delivered right to your door.
We’re a lot more educated about food and what we consume than our parents were for the most part. We know all about GMOs and how they can harm us and our environment. We read labels and would prefer not to question the ingredients that we’re putting into our bodies. If we’re that careful about ourselves, we’re definitely careful about what our children consume.
I pay attention to every single thing that my child ingests. From his medicines to his food, I make sure the ingredients are safe for him. When asked if I wanted to try Little Spoon’s organic baby blends, I immediately agreed!
Little Spoon makes fresh, organic baby food with certified organic and non-GMO ingredients and delivers it straight to your door. I didn’t know a company like it even existed but it’s a relief because I was reluctant about trying to tackle making all Marley’s baby food myself. I’m not looking forward to adding such a task to my already maxed out daily schedule. This service was made for a family like ours.
When I received our goodies, Marley wasn’t old enough to have baby food yet and the products had to be eaten within 14 days of delivery. So what did I do? I tried the foods myself!
(Don’t judge me…you know you’ve always wanted to try baby food!)
We received eight different flavors but I tried Apple, Pea Pear Mint, Beet Banana Mango, Carrot Apple Ginger and Mango.
Right off the bat, I loved that the flavors were sophisticated. I want Marley to be exposed to a multitude of flavors as a child so that as he ages, he won’t be such a picky eater. My personal favorites of the baby blends that I tried were the Pea Pear Mint and the Carrot Apple Ginger.
The Pea Pear Mint had a very strong mint flavor that reminds me of my favorite Mediterranean foods. The Carrot Apple Ginger was sweet, yet tangy and reminded me of Asian cuisine.
Besides the fact that these were very tasty, the packaging is adorable and each container comes with its own little spoon. How cute and convenient is that? You don’t know stress until you’re mid-outing and your baby is screaming for food. Having a spoon with the container makes on-the-go feeding a breeze.
Now that Marley is the appropriate age for baby food, I will definitely be subscribing to Little Spoon because he deserves the very best.
