“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s” Mimi Faust announced this week that her father passed away and received a harsh reaction from fellow cast member and father of her daughter, Stevie J.
You may remember Mimi discussing her rough upbringing on the first season of LHHATL. Her mother converted to Scientology as and when Mimi was 13, which caused her to run away because she was uncomfortable with the rules. At that time she was also disconnected with her father but later reunited with him at the age of 26.
Earlier this week she announced on Instagram that her father had passed away. Several of her followers sent their condolences and wished her well.
Shortly after her news, she posted a photo of a text message from Stevie J on Twitter showing his reaction to the news with the caption:
All of this because of a truthful radio interview I did about @hitmansteviej_1 not taking care of his daughter. Be careful who y’all praise. Don’t let the cameras fool you!! #TheDevilIsALiar
I’m sure by praising Stevie J she means all the heat that she’s getting for the bad word tape is making him seem less of a douche bag than he really is. And of course with Twitter logic, people began trying to rationalize Stevie J’s text by telling Mimi she was a bad parent because of her bad word tape.
We both made mistakes, ABSOLUTELY!! But if y’all think that text was appropriate on a day like this u should judge yourself b4 judging me!!

Not saying we don’t agree, but that definitely wasn’t the time. People just aren’t as sensitive and empathetic as they used to be these days.
