Kanye’s ‘Yeezus’ Listening Party + DJ Drama Predicts J. Cole Will Sell More Than Kanye On June 18

Rapper Kanye West held a listening session for his sixth studio album, Yeezus, set to release June 18.

The session was held at Milk Studios in New York’s Meatpacking District with celebs like Jay-Z, Beyonce’,  Tyson Chandler as well as journalists and label execs in attendance. Kanye went on a mini-rant, telling Busta Rhymes:

“You know how you be on YouTube and it’s a bunch of related videos on the side that don’t got nothing to do with your shit? You may not even like their name or their face next to your shit! I ain’t want none of that! I don’t want YouTube giving nobody else related suggestions off my shit!”

The crowd at Milk Studios were among the first to ever hear the tracks from the album. Yeezus features 10 tracks with collaborations from Daft Punk, Chief Keef, Travis Scott and more. According to Kanye, “this album is about giving no bad words at all.”

Meanwhile, in a recent statement DJ Drama said that J. Cole will out-sell Kanye West on June 18, as and when both rappers debut their newest albums. He said:

“Kanye West doesn’t have a single out. Now shouts out to Kanye West, let’s not get it bad worded up, I know he’s gonna sell some records. But J. Cole was very smart in doing what he did.”
