Jackson Indie Music Week officially kicked off Monday, January 11 in downtown Jackson, Mississippi.
This week-long celebration of Mississippi’s entertainment, music and art culture involves artist showcases, panels, awards ceremonies and meet-ups for lovers of all genres of music.
Before everything got started, I had an opportunity to chat with DJ Young Venom, Maya Kyles and DJ 360 Degrees about #JIMweek and what it means for Mississippians.
Check out my brief interview with them below.
I’ll be posting more videos and photos of #JIMweek up until Sunday, so please be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel here, follow me on all social media @jessicasimien and check back here or my Facebook page for event coverage and updates.
