When I say I never wear braid-outs, I really mean never. I’m not the best hair braider and I always thought it would make my hair crinkle but it actually amplifies my natural curl pattern. It literally looks like my hair is air-dried and stretched out and I love it!
Here’s how I achieved the look:
I started with an old twist-out and divided it in about six or seven sections, maybe eight and moisturized my hair using the LOC method.
For the liquid I used a water and aloe vera juice mix, olive oil as my oil of choice and then raw shea butter for my cream. I braided my hair and curled the ends around my fingers, put on my satin bonnet and went to sleep.
I didn’t use any additional oil or products to take the braids down. Once they were all taken down, I separated them and fluffed my roots with an Afro-pik.
That’s all there is to it!
