Former pastor of Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta, Minister Craig Lamar Davis, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for knowingly exposing female congregants to the HIV virus.
We reported on this incident back in August 2012 but just to bring you up to speed, Davis was accused of having an extramarital affair with two women. One of his accusers, tested positive for the virus while the other tested negative.
During his court appearance, Davis took the stand and spoke on his thoughts regarding the woman who tested positive:
“I take full responsibility for everything that has gone on,” said the former pastor. “My heart truly goes out to her [unnamed victim’s] daughters. Very bad decision and I opened the door for a lot of people to be hurt.”
Davis learned of his positive HIV status in 2005 and was charged with two counts of reckless HIV.
