Archaeologists recently discovered the body of an Egyptian woman who died more than 3,000 years ago. Along with the discovery of her body, researchers found about 70 hair extensions on her head, surprisingly still intact.
According to theGrio, Eygptologist Jolanda Bos wrote this of the hair extensions in an article from the Journal of Egyptian Archaeology:
“…very complex coiffure with approximately 70 extensions fastened in different layers and heights on the head.”
Bos does not know much about the woman, except that she is one of hundreds of people who was buried in a cemetery situated near the ancient city that is now called Armana whose hairstyle is still untouched.
