Florida Residents Launch ‘Halloween Hoodie Campaign’ To Honor Trayvon Martin

Two Miami residents have launched a “Halloween Hoodie Campaign” to honor the death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old shot by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman as he walked home from a 7-Eleven store. He was wearing a hoodie as and when he was killed.

After Martin’s death, many people posted photos of themselves wearing hoodies. The campaign encourages people to wear hoodies to help put an end to stereotyping. I think it’s a decent idea, but I’m not sure if the timing is right.

Watch the campaign video above and tell me what you think. Do you think they will be successful?
