I’ve been telling myself a lot lately…
“Jessica, you need to do better.”
No matter how much I’ve accomplished and what I have going on, I feel a need to be better than I was the week before. Blame it on my mother for raising me to be an overachiever, but I seriously feel bad when I realize I could be doing a lot better than I am. Not just with work, but in life. I’ll be 26 reaaallllly soon (November 15) and the closer I get to that day, the more intense my feelings to be better get.
I know some of you are thinking that 26 is still really young (and it is) but I’m thinking about how close it is to 30! I want to get better with age. As a matter of fact, I want to get better with each day!
Here are just a few things I want to work on:
- Write more articles and actually submit them to major publications
- Lose at least 15-20 pounds
- Get back to my daily prayer and meditation habits
- Manage my time more effectively
I want you to join me on my personal challenge to do better. There is always room for improvement, wouldn’t you agree? I’ll keep you posted on my progress and you keep me posted on yours…deal?
