This post is brought to you by Basic Invite, your custom invitation company.
Now that the weather is finally warming up, I’m officially in party planning mode. Besides my son’s first birthday quickly approaching (Yikes! Where did the time go?!), it’s also the time of year when everyone is prepping for those evening barbecues and not to mention, graduation season.
I don’t know about you but I’d rather not go through the trouble (and the cost) of finding and hiring a graphic designer to create invites for me. It’s not that the different shindigs I’ll be throwing aren’t important enough to spend big bucks for custom, high-quality invites. I just know how to save a coin and get the same results! *wink*
I love a good Pinterest DIY but let’s be honest, who really has the time for that? I can’t be the only person who pins ideas to try and years later, I still haven’t made that mason jar flower vase! Most of my time is spent between chasing a soon-to-be toddler and writing for my blog and clients. The free time needed to visit a store to pick up supplies and follow a tutorial just isn’t on my calendar. That’s why I prefer to use Basic Invite for my invitation needs.
Basic Invite is a custom invitation company that allows you to make invites as unique and specific as you’d like, free of hassle.
Choose your category and theme.
Your first step will be visiting their website and selecting a category and theme for your invitation. I knew exactly what I wanted, which was a carnival-themed birthday invite. I was surprised to find several carnival and circus themed templates. Although I wanted one with a photo and I wasn’t crazy about the option available, the template works perfectly still because of the ability to design the card exactly how you like it. There are almost unlimited colors (over 180 options to be exact) that you can preview instantly online. This is a pretty big deal because most websites limit the number of colors you can choose from. Don’t worry if you aren’t tech or design savvy. It was extremely easy to customize the template exactly how I wanted.
Isn’t the circus theme just the cutest?!
Custom Graduation Invitations Too!
Basic Invite offers way more than just birthday invites. You can also customize your child’s 2018 graduation announcements as well. I can remember having to pay for so many things when I graduated high school and college. From the cap and gown to memory books, class rings and photos, the costs can really add up. This is a very efficient way to prepare for graduation and create an announcement that’s unlike anyone else’s. You can also include graduation thank you cards with your order, which is convenient because it’s easy to forget or put off sending out thank you’s to everyone who helped you celebrate.
Choose your envelopes and insert addresses.
Not only are the tons of color options, the envelopes are customized as well. I love that the invitations have matching thank you cards and I can order envelopes to coordinate them with. There are 40 different envelope color options and the envelopes are peel and seal, which means no licking them or purchasing tape to secure them. Win!
Another cool and convenient feature that Basic Invite offers is an address capturing service. It takes a lot of time and effort to get the addresses of everyone you’re inviting. With Basic Invite’s address capturing service, you can share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social media platform to request the addresses of your guests. The service stores the addresses in your customer account and you can select them during the design process.
Order samples and final designs.
The best part of using Basic Invite for your DIY invitations is that you can order samples before buying your invitations in bulk. Samples help you actually see what you’re buying before making the commitment and possibly ending up with something you aren’t excited about sending out.
