So I’m walking through the mall this week looking for a new pair of kicks and I see a girl I used to go to school with seemingly headed to work. She doesn’t notice or recognize me as we walk past each other but I notice she’s super pregnant, has to be about 7 or 8 months and I’m scratching my head. I’m confused because last time I checked, she was gay.
Cue the Rant
You confused down low guys AND girls are the worst. And I mean THE worst. Now let me preface this rant by saying I have nothing against the gay and lesbian community, I’m actually a supporter of gay rights, equal marriage and all that. I have gay family members and get along with them fine. The people I don’t understand are the ones who feel like they have to hide it.
We all know people and hear stories about people WE know are gay and not open about it. They front like they’re straight, putting on this façade like everything is all good and this just makes me shake my head. There are two categories for the people on the down low, ones like I just described who know they’re gay but go out of their way to make sure people don’t know (even though they don’t realize almost everyone they interact with knows).
And the other category I’ve noticed are people who you can tell are probably gay or question their bad worduality but they haven’t realized it or they refuse to believe they are and are really trying to live as a straight man. News flash, for those of you who fall under this category you’re fighting a losing battle. If you’re gay, embrace it because it’s who you are.
If you are truly a homosexual, it wasn’t taught to you. It wasn’t something you chose and people who actually think that really need to sit down and evaluate their own life and the situation at a whole. Use some logic and some common sense. If you think it’s a choice then let me ask you this question:
If you’re straight and you think you can choose your bad worduality, tell me how old you were as and when you decided to be straight?
Kind of hard to come up with a straight answer huh? Because now that you think about it, you really didn’t choose to be straight.. was kind of born that way, huh?
People like the pregnant girl described earlier give a bad rap to the gay community because they flip flop between bad wordualities. This gives people around them the license and reason to believe that homosexuality is a choice and this is just not the case.
Bottom line: if you’re gay, embrace it. Be proud and stop hiding. You see society is starting to shift to a more tolerant position. God made you that way, contrary to popular belief.
If you’re vehemently against anything homosexual, you’re something like a dinosaur or an old white racist man in 2013. I suggest you try to be a more tolerant before you get left behind.
It’s Friday, don’t forget to cue the Sir Charles.
