Violence continues to plague the city of Chicago, this time taking the life of Chief Keef’s stepbrother.
Ulysses “Chris” Gissendanner III, 19, was fatally shot in the back of the head on January 2 while visiting an uncle in the Far South Side of Chicago. According to reports, the teen was shot while sitting in the car. Gissendanner was an aspiring rapper who went by the name YPN Boomtown and was the stepson of Chief Keef’s biological father Alfonso Cozart.
Although Chief Keef’s name has been connected to at least two other murders of aspiring rappers from Chicago, his father doesn’t believe the family connection had anything to do with Gissendanner’s death. However, he admits that he is worried about the safety of his estranged 17-year-old son.
“As a caring father, who wouldn’t worry about that? I do want my son to have success and have a long, positive life, and I hope the best for him.”
There were over 500 murders in Chicago last year.
