MasterChef contestant Josh Marks will make an appearance at the ‘Pink Plate Event’ on September 23 at Table 100 restaurant in Flowood, Miss. The event is designed to support the efforts of the Central MS Steel Magnolias Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Chef Marks appeared on season three of MasterChef, a culinary competition hosted by world renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay. Marks made it to the final competition, but fell short to Chef Christine Ha. Marks has a special connection to breast cancer that encouraged him to participate in the event:
“One of my best friends is currently battling breast cancer, so the Pink Plate event is definitely something close to my heart.”
Tickets for the event are $120 per couple and $65 for a single guest. Proceeds will benefit breast cancer study and research. To purchase a ticket, contact Ayana Kinnel at (769) 226-3725 or Jessica Davenport at (601) 213-7902.
Special thanks to Chef Marks for sending me this information. You’ll hear more from him during his interview with JessicaSimien.com for Mississippi Month in October.
