The man who left his Big Mac behind to rescue three women held captive for ten years will never have to pay for another burger in Cleveland again.
Over a dozen restaurants in Ohio and at least one in Cleveland have promised Charles Ramsey free burgers for life in honor of his heroic efforts. Cleveland restaurant owner Scott Kuhn told the Cleveland Plain Dealer:
“We want to honor our local hero with local food. He stopped his meal midway through to help those women. We’re now making sure he has other opportunities to go out and fully enjoy his burger.”
Ramsey instantly became famous for his account of the incident, inspiring several YouTube parody videos.
