Codenames: Deep Undercover Is An Adults-Only Game Night Must-Have

Even though I’m only two and a half months into the parenting game, I’ve already learned that the stories about never having “me time” are very much real. Nobody wants to babysit a newborn so as and when my mother offered to watch Marley while we had game night with some friends at our favorite hang out spot, I immediately took advantage of it!

Some friends and I made our way to Hops & Habanas, a local beer and cigar bar located in the heart of Jackson’s Fondren area. We picked up chips, queso and pico de gallo from Babalu and grabbed our favorite beers before heading to the cabana…but what’s game night without a game that brings on the laughs, jokes and unforgettable moments?

Ever heard of the game Codenames? The version we played, Codenames: Deep Undercover, is a must-have for any game night or adults-only function.

Since giving birth to my first child, my outlook on the products I use have changed – a lot. I never paid much attention to labels and what products contained versus what they didn’t contain, but being a mom changed all that. One of the major changes I’ve made in the household and personal care products that I purchase is only choosing those that are sulfate-free.

How To Preserve & Protect Your Natural Hair With A Nightly Routine

I have a confession… I’m a lazy natural (but I didn’t start that way).

I did a big chop after transitioning for three months and I wanted nothing more than a head full of long, thick, curly hair. I would spend hours browsing YouTube for tutorials and tips and I devoted time each night to wrap my hair or twist it so that it would be protected as I slept.

After the excitement I had about having natural hair wore off, I became overwhelmed with all the twisting, dusting, blowing out and braiding that I once enjoyed. I achieved my growth goal pretty quickly and in retrospect, that’s what made me lazy. At that time having natural hair for me meant having long, curly hair. When I finally got the hair I wanted, I didn’t focus as much on its health.

I can’t believe my baby boy is already one month old! It seems like just yesterday that he was born (read/watch his birth story here) and he’s already trying to grow up on us.

I’m a typical first time mom – I take a billion photos and videos of him a day, I can’t sleep at night without touching him to make sure he’s breathing and I’m trying my hardest to adjust to the new responsibilities I have. But this post isn’t about me, (I’ll be sharing some postpartum updates soon) it’s all about Marley!
