5 Reasons Why You Should Attend The 2017 Mississippi Natural Hair Expo

Thank you to the Mississippi Natural Hair Expo for sponsoring this post. You can purchase tickets to the 2017 expo, presented by CURLS, being held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 here.

When you embark on a natural hair journey, be prepared for it to be one with many twists and turns. From finding the right products to learning all the slang associated with natural hair, you will literally feel like you’re being schooled.

I’ve been natural since April 2011 and I still find myself learning new things about my hair. I’ve tried so many different styles, I’ve experimented with color and I’ve even cut it several times. [REGISTER] Let’s Get Social: A Comprehensive Social Media Workshop For Small Business Owners & Creatives

Simien Media Group (my public relations and media agency) is proud to announce its first workshop of the year, Let’s Get Social!

If either of those scenarios describe you or if you want to learn more about the most popular platforms and how to “work” them, this workshop is for you.

Thank you to The Chosen Productions for sponsoring this post. Purchase tickets for “A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words” here.

Jackson, MS native and founder of The Chosen Productions, Essence Wallace, is returning to her hometown for a very special holiday event.

The writer, director and producer will be hosting “A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words” on December 26 in Jackson at the historic Alamo Theatre.

Although Wallace launched her company in Jackson in 2014, most of its work has been done outside of the state. She felt that it was time for Jacksonians to be exposed to all that her full-service production company offers.

This event features a red carpet event, the premiere of the short film “Judgement Day,” and a Q&A session with the actors, writer, director and producer of the film.
