Bravo is not going to let VH1 beat them for those reality TV ratings! The network has announced 15 new original shows for the upcoming television season.
According to Bravo’s president Frances Berwick, they have seen an increase in viewership and loyalty.
“Our strategy of creating a total multi-platform lifestyle experience for our Affluencers is paying off with not just viewership growth across the board, but also loyalty, which is at an all-time high for Bravo. This diversified new lineup, which includes two scripted series and our first ‘real-time’ docu-series, will satisfy fans and also bring in new affluent viewers.”
New shows include RHOA cast member Kandi Burruss’ spinoff show featuring the planning process for her wedding to Todd Tucker. The network will also have two scripted series – “Odd Mom Left Out” will follow Jill Kargmen as she tries to keep up with wealthy moms in New York’s Upper East Side and “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce” is about a self-help author who needs some help of her own after secretly going through divorce.
Below is a complete list of their upcoming lineup:
“Below Deck” (Season 2)
“Don’t Be Tardy” (Season 3)
“Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” (Season 7)
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” (Season 6)
“Top Chef ” (Season 12)
“The Millionaire Matchmaker” (Season 8)
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (Season 7)
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (Season 5)
“Shahs of Sunset” (Season 4)
“Vanderpump Rules” (Season 3)
“Fashion Queens” (Season 3)
“Newlyweds” (Season 2)
“Thicker Than Water” (Season 2)
“Blood, Sweat, & Heels” (Season 2)
The network also has a few unscripted projects in development:
“Going Going Gone” – This project is a live televised estate sale whereby viewers can bid on unique items like a dress worn by Naomi Campbell.
“Tour Group” – This show will follow wealthy travelers as they visit some of the world’s most popular and scenic places.
“Gen XYZ” – This reality show will follow six successful women in the fashion and beauty industries as they balance their careers and personal lives.
I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’ll be glad as and when I can watch a show that has people like me on it and not some wealthy chicks “balancing their careers.” What about us who are struggling with money as we attempt to build our empires? Maybe I will have to make that happen!
