Blank Stare :: Congress Joins Hands And Sings “We Shall Overcome” (VIDEO)

In today’s Blank Stare News, congressional members joined hands Tuesday  to sing “We Shall Overcome” in honor of House and Senate leaders posthumously awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King. This marks the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.

I’ll let you watch the video up top and make your own judgement of what their faces were telling us (especially Sen. Mitch McConnell who stands next to Nancy Pelosi).

I just want someone to tell me what exactly they’re trying to overcome.
