Black Twitter Gets A Wikipedia Page

If you aren’t already familiar with “Black Twitter” its basically a Twitter community made up of Black Twitter users that create buzz around certain issues or topics. For example, Black Twitter led to the cancellation of Juror B37’s book deal and entertained us with Paula Deen’s best dishes.

The Black Twitter Wikipedia page was created Wednesday defines Black Twitter as a:

“cultural identity in the Twitter social network focused on issues of interest to the black community, particularly in the United States.”

The page also discusses how Blacks use Twitter at the highest rate, the different ways the community interacts on the network and how the community influences social change.
