Beating the Monday Blues

What is it about Mondays that make us so sluggish and ready to crawl back into bed? Is it that we dread the week ahead? Did we party too hard over the weekend? Or is it that we just need a little more sleep to get us prepared for the office?

In any case, Monday gives most of us the blues. But don’t fear! I’ve put together a few tips to help us turn our frowns upside down! (Corny, I know…LOL)

1. Start your day off with laughter. Listen to your favorite morning show as you get dressed or commute to work, class or the gym.

2. Wear your favorite outfit or try a new hairstyle. Who doesn’t feel ready to take on the world in their favorite top or pair of jeans?

3. Focus on completing your most difficult or dreaded tasks first. This gives you a sense of accomplishment and more time to do something fun later on in the day.

I hope these tips help you feel a little better about the day. I’ve tried each one of these this morning and I’ve got to say I do feel a tad bit optimistic about getting through the day.
