Can you guess one of the first things I did once the reality of being pregnant hit me?
I downloaded an app.
(Don’t judge me…it’s what millennials do, OK?)
Because I’m a first time mom-to-be, I literally knew nothing about the pregnancy experience. I didn’t understand exactly how pregnancies progress, what certain terms meant, what body changes and symptoms I would experience and the list goes on. Downloading a pregnancy app just made sense for me.
I chose to download the What To Expect app because of the popularity of its accompanying website. I downloaded several others but this was the first one I found to be useful – but it’s not without its pros and cons.
Underground returned to our television screens Wednesday night with it’s Season 2 premiere episode, “Contraband.” I was so excited to see this show back on the air because it wasn’t just entertaining, it gave valuable insight on the history of slavery in America – insight I’d never been exposed to through television.
A couple of months ago I received my first box from Bump Boxes and one of the products that immediately caught my eye was the under eye treatment (click here to read about everything else that was inside). I struggle with dark circles under my eyes and severe puffiness, most of which is genetics, and nothing seems to help reduce either issue.
ToGoSpa offers several variations of their under eye treatments, but the one I used was their Coconut EYES which they’ve coined as “The Tropical Staycation.”
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV
The way I view and experience love has changed so much over the years. It almost feels like the older I get, the more close I get to the actual meaning of love.
When it comes to romantic relationships, I’ve gotten it wrong so many times because I was focused more on the individual than the love that should have been being exchanged between us. In other relationships, such as those with my family, I didn’t realize the depths and showings of love that have been there all the time.
Some of these lessons were learned from my constantly evolving relationship with God and others were learned once I started to change myself. I’m sharing those lessons today on the blog.
When you’re carrying a baby, the last thing you’re thinking about is how fashionable you look. Comfort takes the cake above all else as and when picking out maternity clothing. Luckily, with Mommylicious Maternity, you don’t have to compromise your comfort to look great and feel bad wordy – double win!
I had an opportunity to partner with them and showcase some of their comfy and affordable selections.
