I had the pleasure of attending the 2014 STRONG Conference at the TWELVE Hotel Centennial Park in Atlanta over the weekend. Unlike your typical conferences, STRONG was laid back with an inviting atmosphere.
Coupe Scott, the organization’s founder, opened up Saturday’s events with a dance to get all the ladies loosened up and engaged with one another. After dancing, the topic of the weekend’s conference began.
One thing I really liked about this experience was that there were women of all ages who had come together to celebrate the trials we’ve gone through and obstacles we’ve had to face and overcome to get where we are today. Not only did that serve as a moment of reflection for me, but it also was a moment of celebration. How fortunate we are to be able to look back on what seemed like “bad” things in our lives and see how they shaped all the blessings we now have.
