Even though every day we wake up is an opportunity to start over, bringing in a totally new year gives people extra motivation to change certain habits. We all take a few moments to reflect on where we went wrong and how we can change for the better, but how many of us actually make those changes?
I remember this time last year I told myself that all I wanted to do in 2012 was to be happy. Overall, I did find my true happiness but it took a lot of sadness to get me there. This time around I’ve decided to make five resolutions (see them here) but for me, they are just the tipping point for the things I REALLY want to do.
I want to travel the country, attend conferences and major events, get closer to Christ and find true love. I am so excited about all that is to come – the journey, the possibilities, the results – everything! I’m smart enough to know that it’s not just about wanting to do something. You have to take action to make it happen.
The action part is where most of us have fallen short in the past. This year, let’s do everything we can (leave the rest to God) to become better and make our dreams come to life.
